This part of the app is very much market-driven, this means that you won’t find live streaming or in-depth stats here. What you do get though is a decent stable platform with good odds and not too many ads. We liked this approach as it is less busy than some other apps and easier to find what you are looking for.

This is especially true when it comes to football. We found more than 150 professional leagues around the world are covered, each with numerous markets from the correct score to btts and win and over 100+ others for major games.

The app has every sport from golf and rugby to hockey and tennis like all major apps. They also have some more niche markets like the increasingly-popular esports and more novelty tv betting markets.

You will find all your favourite markets here on a good amount of sports, making this app a valuable addition to your betting armoury. This is an easy-to-navigate, pick up and bet offering which will keep you hooked, particularly if you have the confidence to bet on some of the lesser-known sport this particular bookie is able to offer. And with great promotional offers to be had here too, there is much to be said for adding this to the homepage of your iPhone or Android handset.

Overview

10bet, founded in 2003, is operated by Blue Star Planet Limited who are registered in Malta. They offer markets for a large range of sports as well as a Casino, Games and Virtuals. The site is available in over 90 countries and has a number of exclusive bet types only available at 10bet.

As well as their website, 10bet also offer a mobile app which is available for both Android and iOS.

Creating an account

Creating an account on 10bet is straight forward. However, whilst 10bet is available in a large number of countries, there are some exceptions. Therefore, prior to signing up, you should check that you are eligible to open an account in your country of residence.

It is also worth noting that when opening and funding an account, 10bet will need to verify your details. This is typically done automatically, but in some cases you may be required to provide information to assist with this verification (such as providing a photographic ID). If this is required, you will be notified by 10bet.

Depositing & Withdrawing Money

Now you have registered, the main 10bet page will look similar to before, but with your details now in the top right corner, as shown in Figure 3.

Clicking on the “Deposit” link in the top right of the page (as shown in Figure 3) will open up a new deposit window, as shown in Figure 4 (if no new window appears, you may have a pop-up blocker which is stopping the page from opening).

10bet offers a large selection of payment methods. These include credit/debit card, PayPal, paysafecard, Skrill, Skrill 1-Tap, Neteller and Entropay. There is a minimum and maximum that can be deposited using each method and 10bet will notify you when you enter an amount if it does not met these requirements.

Once you have made a deposit that has been credited to your account, you can check your balances from the main page and hovering over the balance section, as shown in Figure 5.

As you can see in Figure 5, you can have different balances across different wallets. If you find that you have deposited to the incorrect account (or wish to use part of a balance in another account), you can use the transfer option that can be found by clicking on your balance. Doing so opens up your balance information, as shown in Figure 6.

If you have a withdrawable balance, you can withdraw this by clicking on the “Withdraw from Sports” link under the balances section.

If you have an active promotion on your account then withdrawing funds may mean you lose these promotional funds. Additionally, as previously mentioned, you may have issues withdrawing if you account has not successfully been verified.

Betting Basics

When you place a bet, you are provided with the odds to indicate how much will be returned if you win. For example, if you were quoted odds of 25/1 and were to place a stake of £10 you would get a return of £260 should your selection win (£250 winnings and your original £10 stake returned). The fractional odds of 25/1 can be read as “25 to 1” meaning for every £1 you stake, you will win £25.

Another way to calculate this is using decimal odds. Fractional odds of 25/1 would be represented as 26 as decimal: you can calculate this by doing 25 divided by 1 and then adding 1 (adding 1 represents your original stake being returned). Therefore you can work out your returns by simply multiplying the decimal odds by your stake. The higher the decimal odds, the larger your winnings will be.

American odds are the final way you can view odds on bet365. American odds are given based on a stake of £100 and are either positive (representing how much you would win using a £100 stake) or negative (representing how much you would have to stake in order to win £100). So, using fractional odds of 25/1 as an example, American odds would be quoted as +2500, as you would win £250 with a £10 stake (the return would still be £260, as your £10 stake would be returned).

On 10bet you can switch between these odds very simply by using the drop down near the top of the page, just above the bet slip, as shown in Figure 7.

Placing your first bet

The 10bet website offers a wide selection of sports to bet on – the main categories are listed down the left hand side of the website, as shown in Figure 8 (circled in green).

If you do not see this selection, please ensure that you have selected the sports section of the website, rather than another section such as Virtuals or Games (this is shown in Figure 8 with a red circle).

You will see in this list is E-sports, which we will explore to place our first bet. Clicking on this link will show a selection of E-sports markets that are currently available to bet on.

As you can see in Figure 9, there is currently only one match that is live. Instead, we want to see a list of all matches that are happening today. To do this we click the “Daily Match List” link, which will show a list of daily matches, similar to Figure 10,

As shown in Figure 10, there are various events and matches we can bet on. We will go into more depth about the types of available markets we can bet on in the next section. For now, we simply want to place a bet on an 2-way winner (that is, we are placing a bet on which player/team we believe will win a given game, as there is no option for a draw).

The match we are going to bid on is Lambo vs Mana – we are wanting to bet £10 that Lambo will win this match. To do this we need to click on the odds for Lambo (“Lambo 20/49”) which will add this selection to the bet slip (as shown in Figure 11).

In Figure 11 we have entered 10 into the Stake box and the bet slip has been updated to show the amount that will be returned (14.08)

If you wish to place this bet, you can simply click the “Place Bets” button which is highlighted in green. You will then be notified if your bet was successfully placed or not (if you do not have sufficient funds, for example, the bet will not be placed).

The placement of this bet is called a single bet: your bet will either win or lose based on the outcome of a single bet. However, you are able to place a multiple bet (also known as an accumulator), where you are betting on the outcome of multiple matches. For example, in the Starcraft 2 HomeStory Cup we may think that Lambo will win the first match whilst Solar will win the second match. If we click on both names, then both will be added to the bet slip, as shown in Figure 12.

You can now see that the betslip is longer and split into two sections. The first section contains the single bets, like earlier, and you could place two single bets in the same way as above (and the two bets would be independent). However, there is now a “Doubles” option under the multiples section, which has odds of 50/69. By entering a stake here you are betting on the result of both matches, so if you were to lose one or more legs of your bet (i.e. one or more of your choices lost) then you would lose (all parts of your bet must win). If you wish to place a stake on the multiple, you only need to place a stake in the multiples box (you do not place a stake in other boxes unless you wish to also place single bets at the same time).

You can have larger multiples, so you can add new selections to your bet slip using the same approach as above. You can also remove selections from the bet slip by clicking the “X” next to a selection.

When a bet is placed, it cannot be cancelled. However, for most bets on 10bet, you have the option of cashing out. This means that you can settled your bet early for a given amount (this given amount is quoted by 10bet). This becomes potentially useful during in-play. In-play betting is where you can place bets on an event that is currently happening. If a bet you had placed was doing well during a match, you will likely be able to cash out for a profit; similarly you can cash out if your player is doing worse than you expect (likely for a amount less than your original stake). You are also able to place new in-play bets for most events, although the odds can change very quickly in reaction to events happening during the match.

In Figure 10 we saw a list of matches that were available on a given day. For each of these, at the end of the row, there is a number followed a greater than sign (so, “10 >”, for example). These numbers are links which shows the number of possible markets you can bet on for a match. Figure 13 shows the available markets for a Counter-Strike match.

We can see from Figure 13 that there is a range of markets that allow you to place bets on different elements of a tournament/match. The available markets will vary depending on the type of tournament, as well as it’s popularity.

Conclusion

The 10Bet website offers a very clean design which makes the site easy to navigate. The sign up process is straight forward, although if you are not verified automatically then this process is not as straight forward as other competitors. However, this process only needs to be done once (if at all) and it also allows users from a large number of countries to register and bet.

If you are a first time better, the 10bet website is a good choice as it provides clear navigation and the betting process is quite intuitive. However, the in-play support for esports is not as good as other sites, with no option of live streams. The given odds for events are not always as good as other sites (i.e. the same bet elsewhere would return more money as the decimal odds would be higher for the same bet) and the maximum amount that can be staked can often be quite low (e.g. you may only be able to stake £1 or £2).

As well as offering ESports, 10Bet also covers a large number of other events and betting opportunities, which makes it a good choice for those who want to bet on a large array of events or games. It is also easy to switch between odd types (i.e. between decimal, fractional and American). They also provide an app which makes betting on mobile devices that bit easier.
